Hi everyone,

today I went to the primary school to see students of year 4. They were studying rocks (types of rocks, properties, classification and rock´s cycle).

Students were distributed in small groups so they could interact with each other easily. 

The initial activity was a review of the general properties of rocks so students answered some questions Cristina asked and later on, some of them described their own rock to their mates. They shared the information not only with mates in their groups but also with the rest of the students.

Really interesting lesson class, so that students were enthusiastic about their rocks presentations.

Here are some pics I had taken earlier this week with the preactivity of creating rocks with gummies like sugus. Our rocks have crazy funky colours not found in nature but the concept is there so it works.
